Chelsea Smith Instagram – #MarriageMonday
Since the goal for marriage is to last a lifetime, it seems wise to expect many different seasons during the course of a marriage. Some seasons we can see coming and plan for them; with our baby girl in high school we know an empty nest season is coming. Other seasons are impossible to foresee. There was no way I could know in July of 2020 I would get a phone call that my Dad was being rushed to the hospital with a ruptured brain aneurysm.
I think we often underestimate the power of resiliency and adaptability for healthy marriages. This week on our podcast, In Good Faith, Judah and I talked through the difficult seasons of our parents declining health really for the first time, and were surprised at some of the things that came out!
