HERE’S HOW👇
🍉Fruits and veggies have a PLU number which is a price locator code.🌽
👉If the PLU # begins with a 9, it’s certified organic and safe to eat.
👉If the PLU # begins with a 3 or 4, it’s commercially farmed.🚜
Easiest way to remember:⬇️
➡️If it begins with a 9, IT’S FINE.😅
➡️If it begins with a 3 or 4, EXPLORE MORE.🗺
👩🌾Some commercially farmed produce is safe to eat and you don’t need to spend your money buying organic produce.💰

🌽Sweet Corn
🥑Avocado
🔍Go to EWG.org to get the full list of Clean 15, which consists of foods that are safe to consume.
