Ellie Holcomb Instagram – Today was a very special day because we got to celebrate our precious god-son’s first birthday !! He has brought an immeasurable amount of joy to our family and to all he encounters . It’s been a delight to cheer @zandymowry and @taviordontaemowry on as they do an incredible job parenting this precious boy. We’ll be cheering you on forever , Tri!! AND, while I was so excited about celebrating Triumph , which we did about a week late, I totally missed @zandymowry’s b.day yesterday. This woman is faithful and strong and wise and fun and talented and cool and full of truth and light , and I’ll never be the same because I know her and have the privilege of calling her a friend . She pursues and sees and prays and encourages and laughs and holds sorrow with the people she loves. What a JOY to get to do life together , Z! Love you SO!! I LOVE that Tri was born on the first day of Black History Month b/c this boy is def gonna make some history happen !! He is so special , but I also love that me and Z’s friendship was truly born out of both songwriting and co-hosting a Be the Bridge small group together . Doing the work of righteous racial reconciliation is so important on so many levels , it’s kingdom work for sure and we should all press on in it , but it has also granted us the sweetest gift of our families being knit together by God’s love . It’s a story I’ll never get over. Thx @zandymowry for listening , for being patient and gracious with me ,and for agreeing to co-lead a group w/ me four years ago . I love that we had no idea what little group would grow in us. Thank you @bethebridge for providing a beautiful structure for conversation that builds bridges and builds the kingdom coming . It changed my life forever .
