Emily V. Gordon Instagram – Books I’ve loved lately. 1 & 2- Waltpaper’s in-depth photo/memoir about the club kid scene in nyc in the 90s. It’s a delicious feast. 3- Monsters by Claire Dederer- a funny, honest, smart look at how we deal with art we love created by people who turn out to be, well, monsters. 4- White Cat, Black Dog by Kelly Link- classic fairytales set in our world. One has a guy going on a magical underworld quest to rescue his husband. Her writing makes the world seem magical. 5- The Guest by Emma Cline- man, Emma’s so good. This is the story told from the perspective of what I would call a chaos person. It’s so insightful and cringey and entertaining.
