Indy Srinath Instagram – Even the fly bows it’s head to pray.
I was thinking of this recently, deep in that sticky sweet, sweat that is born of an Appalachian evening. How tender is the baptism of mid afternoon rain, how holy is the simple act of washing one’s face. Even after a meal of carcass and wet bone.
There’s something about returning to the earth as nasty as we began.
There’s nothing clean about birth nor death, it’s all about how we lick the wound, spank the bottom, eat the placenta, and swallow the tears.
Even the fly bows it’s head to prey.
