Indy Srinath Instagram – 🫛 now is the time to sow sweet peas indoors!
Here’s how:
🫛soak & scarify your pea seeds for better germination
🫛transplant them when it’s still cool outside (they like cool roots!) but once heavy frost has passed
🫛 they eat a lot, so add a good bit of compost to your soil, but avoid nitrogen heavy fertilizer blends (they’ll grow tall, but flower less in heavy nitrogen) if you’re using a fertilizer blend, go for one that is higher in phosphorus
🫛put stakes, trellis, or cages out as soon as you plant. Even though it seems like they don’t need much support at first, it’s incredibly hard to fit in support structures after they’ve began growing!
