Lilián García Instagram – Heading to Rome, I had unexpected flight delays which caused me to have to be re-routed including a 5 hour layover. In the end it took me over 20 hours to get there, but once I landed, I didn’t care how tired I was, I was going to take advantage and explore as much as I could that evening. The Coliseum at night was a must! There is so much history in this building which dates back to 80 AD! It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world, despite its age. 😳 I feel we can learn a lot from historical buildings where they didn’t even have the machinery we have today yet they built masterpieces! How much do we rely on conveniences today? How much do we say, “it’s not possible” when instead we should be saying, “there has to be a way!” I love to travel because it expands my mindset and shows me what others did with their own two hands which all started with their imaginations and a will to get it done. As I walked around the vicinity I also stumbled upon a small church with nuns and other really cool streets. Bottom line, traveling is a must. It’s educational. It’s enlightening.
