Yup, it runs in my family on both sides. My dad, as I shared before has had a rough year, and it all stemmed from diabetes.
I wanted to team up with @diabetescanada as it’s #DiabetesAwarenessMonth, to take the time to share our story and to raise awareness.

Stats:
In 2023, another 239,000 Cdns were diagnosed with diabetes
1 in 3 peeps are affected by diabetes or prediabetes…that’s approx 30% of Cdn population. Crazy stats!

2 medium tomatoes
3 1/2 cups of water
3/4 tsp salt

Let’s is simmer on medium-high heat for 30 mins

Some veg. Oil
1 tsp of black mustard seeds
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 small onion
1 green chilli (optional)
2 garlic cloves

1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp cumin powder
Cilantro (optional)

Have it with Naan or basmati rice!
