Dal is a staple, it’s feels like home and a great source of iron 💪🏽 – I’m always lacking when it comes to iron, dishes like this and taking a daily dose of @jamiesoncanada Gentle Iron Ultra Strength has been pretty efficient!
Recipe
Pot 1
1 cup of red split lentils (wash them good)
Some spinach
2 medium tomatoes
3 1/2 cups of water
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp of ground turmeric
Let’s is simmer on medium-high heat for 30 mins
Pot 2 Tadka
Some veg. Oil
1 tsp of black mustard seeds
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 small onion
1 green chilli (optional)
2 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp ginger
Top with
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp cumin powder
Cilantro (optional)
Have it with Naan or basmati rice!
Enjoy! My mom would be proud 🥰
