Sophia Bush Instagram – I just cannot stop thinking about this case. And I haven’t stopped thinking about the ~65,000 women that have been unable to terminate pregnancies from rape in this country — around 23,000 women in Texas alone — since Dobbs was overturned by extremists installed in what once was our highest and most respectable court by a would-be dictator. I cannot stop thinking about this woman — who would have been jailed had she voluntarily taken this medication — whose husband is receiving what barely amounts to a slap on the wrist for what he attempted to do to her. Her own husband!? The double standard keeps me up at night. The “rules for thee but not for me” turns my stomach. The utter hypocrisy, and the allowance of the repeat assault of women?? It’s baffling. Enraging. It makes me want to break things. This week our country marked a holiday that sees Americans spend $1B annually to say “I love you” with cards and candy. You know what I think LOVE in action would look like? Voting out every motherfucker who allows this brazen abuse of us to continue. From city officials to governors like the truly vile @governorabbott in this guy’s home state of Texas. Barring extremists who oppose women’s sovereignty over their own bodies from being the damn president again. Beat them at the ballot box. Beat them in every race. Relegate them to the dustbins of history. Make them wear their shame. Enough is enough. Fuck this shit. I say that with my whole chest. Votes > Valentines. #BansOffOurBodies #VoteThemOut
