Caption : 😣 I dislocated my shoulder in my first run this morning 😫😳 I came short on one of the middle jumps at the bottom: I cleared the first few, even cleared the big one and thought “oh sweet” so I just tucked and didn’t pedal and cased the next one, I love a good pencil 😬 and as my front wheel slapped down the force just must’ve gone to my dodgy shoulder wrong & it popped out the bottom, I didn’t even crash I just felt the pain & rolled the next jump thinking OH MY GOD my shoulder , then jumped off my bike swearing & trying to get it back in, my fingers went into the socket so I knew It was out exactly same as last time here in 2017, I thought NOT AGAIN as I stood on my hand and pulled like fuck to try to relocate it, i felt it move back but it still felt awful so I didn’t know if it was in or not, Pissed off I didn’t have my @gopro on yet to film it again 😮💨😂 then @nina.hoff96 was there and she helped pull, but we think it was back in place by then 😣😣😣 Thanks so much Nina ❤️love ya.hope your head is ok 😳 Gutted doesn’t come close. So Devastated. So Pissed off. It’s Too painful to really consider trying to ride but maybe there will be a miracle overnight 🥷😮💨 @gee_atherton thinks I’ll be fine!!!! I walked down with the medics & saw my brothers who’d come to find me, I hadn’t even seen them yet at this race & I was already injured 😣sorry bros ❤️ After many many tears of frustration I can smile again. This sport is so addictive but the injuries make you question everything. Your whole life choices come into question! I can’t seem to find a peaceful way thru this life, the things i love also seem to bring the most pain & suffering but without them I feel lost. Who knows. Got my new T shirts tho & I love em, hope you like them & want to wear them! I’ll show you tomorrow 🥰

Caption : Trying to settle in to normal life!! The next world cup is this week & I won’t be racing… I never planned to do a full season & im trying to stick to that plan!! I knew the comedown from racing 2 world cups would be pretty deep, that adrenaline fuelled, fun filled lifestyle is hard to leave behind 💣 @athertonracing are too fun! but the exhaustion I’ve felt has been another level! Similar to newborn baby days!! I keep trying to start training again but get too exhausted to train day after day, “Millway sent my training plan thru and it’s like for a full time athlete, cos that’s what I asked for” But I don’t know if I am!! How can I be a full time mum, AND a full time athlete?!! I love both so much, & I feel guilty for doing either! I want time to train, then when it comes to leaving arna for a few hours I don’t want to leave her at all! Caption : Wow, P.2 in Qualifying! I did not expect that at all! 😱 I have been honest on here talking about how I have been struggling this week & how it all feels just so hard! I promise I WAS being honest! I feel a bit stupid to of been talking about how hard it’s been and then go into 2nd place 😂 even tho it’s just quailes & doesn’t mean anything! feeling awful in practice is a real thing, and maybe most of us racers felt shit in practice 😂 it takes a long time to learn the track, get confidant, set your bike up, and it’s a whole different game riding here on this track compared to riding at home where you’re super comfortable and you know the lines inside out! I felt annoyed I couldn’t ride like I do at home I had absolutely no idea where I might finish, so I knew I had to have a good run to qualify… Race runs are always so different & I guess I forgot that a little bit, I forgot that warming up properly, getting in the zone, sinking 2 Redbull’s , going thru the track in your head, the whole routine… All that preparation sets you up much better for a full run, whereas in practice you do a short warm up and then go for it, You’re not as focussed & stopping lots & it’s super hard to imagine being able to do a full run when you’re that fatigued!! Anyway, I’m pretty stoked & even more nervous 😂 Just wanted to give a bit more insight as i feel like a twat for moaning so much on here then I go and get 2nd in qualifying but… Pretty sure I’ll get smoked tomorrow but I don’t mind! We have 2 more races to go tomorrow! New format means semi finals, and then finals, so 2 more race runs & that’s pretty scary for the body to manage! Caption : Wow! First 2 days done at LENZERHEIDE World Cup! Yesterday was all about bike, body & kit, & Today was first day of practice & wow, I got my ass kicked by this track! I was so nervous first run, legs all shaky & stiff, but slowly you learn the track & start to try to get faster but I really am struggling to find the confidance I have when I’m riding at home! I had what felt like a big crash 2ND run & that opened my eyes a bit! I hurt my shoulder which is always fked anyway after so many surgeries , & it all just honestly feels a bit ridiculous to be trying to race & then come home & breastfeed arna to sleep cos she’s missing me during the day! Anyway this was my choice to try to race , im just trying to be real 😬😂🙏🏽 It’s 2nd degree fun this racing game 😂 I’m trying to enjoy it & to not care, but it’s hard to even do a full run…. No wonder I used to train so damn hard!!! 😂 The ladies were so impressive & riding so fast, it’s rad to see first hand how fast they’re all riding, amazing! Caption : This day Still feels like a dream! ⭐️❤️🥇 feeding arna in that champagne haze felt like magic ⭐️ I don’t even know how it happened 🥇 Im beyond grateful to @dan_atherton for making us start @dyfibikepark ❤️ Living there & riding there every weekend has done me so much good… when arna was a little baby, it was my lifeline , walking down there with her asleep in the sling, for a coffee & lunch, knowing it would be full of my family & friends & like minded bikers… it really saved me in so many ways from that loneliness you feel as a new mum… And then as I started riding, @dyfibikepark offered me everything I needed, a safe place to be with my baby girl with my mum or olly chilling with her, with no judgment, I remember breastfeeding in the cafe & all these young lads like “ok cool, no big deal” A perfect place to just ride & have so much fun & forget your fears…. & before I knew it I was back lapping the big tracks & sending the gnar, & then more recently I’ve been back taking it seriously as I aimed for this race, banging out full times runs & feeling the race joy come back ❤️❤️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️ I feel so ridiculously grateful for last weekend, thanks everyone ❤️ @svenmartinphoto

From the lowest lows when I hurt my shoulder somehow with a lot of treatment & physio I was able to put a race run down & im SO STOKED to finish p 8 !! To the highest highs of World Champ for @charlie_hatton1 🌈 To race at Fort William again for world champs was the dream & I was so devastated when I thought I was out, but Gee was adamant I had to at least give myself the opportunity for race day, by completing a 2nd practice run & starting my QUALIES run, When I dropped in for QUALIES the plan was to pull over straight away but when I actually ignored the pain for a bit it felt sort of not too bad & I was like, “oh my god, I think I can carry on! “ When I made it thru the first rocks then the first rock drop where Nina crashed, I thought “If I can go off this drop & I’m ok, I can get down!! Anyway come race day, the more I seemed to use the muscles the better, LOTS of physio & taping but race day I was not convinced, it was still pretty sore & felt unstable, But I am SO pleased I pushed on & could manage a race run & THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO CHEERED it really makes a big difference when the going gets tough, the crowd help the racers so much ❤️❤️❤️ To see @charlie_hatton1 & @andreas.kolb66 go 1 & 2 in men was just MENTAL!!
