10.January.2024 One night in Atlanta…A dear friend reminded me that today is the 20th anniversary of my first US title, my first perfect 6.0 and the day my life changed forever. 29.12.2023 This year has been all about the ice in one way or another. I have skated away from public performances with a tour that gives me speechless memories, I started a skating academy to impart the knowledge I’ve acquired to our youth, I’ve commentated some spectacular moments on the ice but at the end of the day, this video is my happy place, flying around a surface that inspired me all those years ago to be my very best self and I couldn’t think of a better final post of the year than one where I’m just myself, unshaven and uncoiffed, doing what I love. 14.11.2023 I was 9 when I watched the 1994 Olympic Games from Lillehammer, Norway. I was proud to cheer on Team USA & Team Norway as I am of Norwegian heritage. I first imagined myself going to the Olympics during that games when I watched Oksana Baiul win gold and I didn’t even skate yet. I also always dreamt of owning one of the cool sweaters everyone was wearing on tv from @daleofnorway. I got all the 🥹 when they announced a re-release of that Olympic sweater and @skaarofficial released a new version of the Olympic song, “Se ilden lyse” to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of Lillehammer, coming in February.
