As a kid TM famously met @jamesbrown & told him he is going to play bass with him someday. James retorted “Don’t Do It! Stay In School!!!!” Weird that TM manifested his dream for he is the voice of the backgrounds of #LivingInAmerica (not to mention in some weird transitive way, his bass groove on the stomper “Gravity” (Brown’s single after “America” in 86) most likely prompted @Prince to write the damn near derivative (odd for a guy who rarely cleared samples) #ItsGonnaBeABeautifulNight for the Sign O The Times lp.
