During my (aakanksha) trip to Kerala, I got the chance to experience a Kathakali performance and my mind was blown to say the least.. it is so engaging, so detailed, so mesmerising and elegant ❤️ Toh ispe video toh BANTA HAI!
If you’re in Fort Kochi you must NOT miss experiencing this! The best place to watch a performance is at Kerala Kathakali Centre, for a cultural, offbeat trip in Kerala I recommend going with @highontripsbyrg!
Kerala really takes pride in Kathakali and so much so that a village called Ayroor Village fought 12 years to be renamed to “Ayrur Kathakali Gramam” for honouring its Kathakali Heritage and indicating the village’s significance to the art form.
Isn’t that fascinating?!
