Chelsea Hobbs Instagram – There is something special about making friends in your late teens or early twenties… beyond the fun blurry nights you have the beauty of witnessing each other navigate life. They know who you are and what you’ve been through, they understand how you got to where you are today.
Since I moved back to Canada a decade ago, a lot of my friends have also left LA to raise their kids… and some are no longer with us 💔 Still a few remain, (can’t believe we didn’t get photos), and going back to them is really like going home.
(I had never gone five years without visiting LA, but a pandemic and having two babies made time pass me by).
So, all of this to say… If you’ve moved away from a city that holds memories on every street corner, it can be beautiful but heartbreaking to go there again. And if you have chapters and chapters of your life that feel like a different book altogether (like I do), just a reminder to not be afraid to revisit and honour the ones that are long behind you.
