I am so sad to learn of this lovely man’s passing.
@mr_kenneth_mitchell was such a kind, hard working, and talented man.
I was blessed to work with him on Switched at Birth.
He was “Wes” to my “Regina”
He brought such nuance and grounded layers to this very complicated, gruff, yet charming role.
The kind of character you start off hating, but slowly reels you in gets you on his side and only then shows his vulnerability.
Kenneth nailed it!

He was hard working.
He was a family man.
He will be greatly missed.

Celebrating this International Women’s Day by highlighting the amazing woman Felicia Montealegre!!
The wife of Leonard Bernstein!
She was a talented actress, who fought for racial equality,
was a political activist,
and
LATINA.
Born in Costa Rica raised and educated in Chile. You might not know she was Latina, because in the movie “Maestro”her role was culturally appropriated and played by a non-Latina.
So in keeping with the things that Felicia fought for,
I want to highlight that racial inequality and unfair labor practice that is happening in this movie.
As this movie makes its way to the Oscars, and is nominated in 7 categories, including Carrie Mulligan, being nominated for best actress.
That cultural appropriation and loss of an opportunity for our community needs to be highlighted and part of the narrative .
And, IT NEEDS TO STOP.

Just released all the pent up energy of frustration and tension from a brutal year of strikes, hot labor summer, & life.
Just had an amazing time with amazing women who collectively lift each other up. The collective JOY was palpable!!

Our 3rd L.A.U. Health and wellness event was RIDICULOUS fun and a giant success!!! We gathered, we danced, we raised 👏🏽the👏🏽roof👏🏽 with our elevated spirits. And that was the best part- Coming together to take our mind off any of the heavy stuff for a minute, and just…exhale. Breathe, relax, and dance. And in that joy, we found relief.
