Courtney Halverson Instagram – I had a box of costumes as a child, and it was easily my favorite activity. Old scarves became skirts, tied haphazardly around my waist, a scrap of fur salvaged from a vintage coat acted as a stole draped across my shoulders, and a patterned blanket was transformed in my eyes to a cape. With this box of odds and ends, I found it easy picture characters (each a little extravagant) off on some grand adventure. I craved a world of fantasy – which if I think about it I suppose that’s in some way how I’ve ended up here. Creating photos and cinematic moments that each feel like their own little world, where I can (in a different way) play a character. And while some of my imagination has become reality, it’s nice to know that all these years later I can still drape myself in a sheet and make believe that it’s a ballgown. . . . #romanticstyle #elegantstyle #cinematic #feminineenergy . .
