Debra Messing Instagram – I had the privilege of spending the evening with 900 women at congregation Shaarey Zedek in Detroit. The women-only evening was a celebration of community and the profound impact that women can have on the world. I spoke about my Jewish upbringing, being a Jewish woman in Hollywood, HIV/AIDS activism in Africa, and of course the massacre of October 7th. I shared stories of my time spent in Israel before Christmas and spoke about hope and resilience being the center of our heritage. It was very healing to be in community with these women. And they promised to teach me canasta over zoom, as one does! #detroit #womenempowerment #jewishcommunity #amyisraelchai @jfeddetroit
