Jamie Otis Instagram – Ten years ago today I was lonely & single searching for my soul mate. I was talking to producers about being on a show called “The Love Experiment” (They called Married at First Sight that way back on our first season bc who in their right mind would legally marry a complete stranger?!)🙋🏼‍♀️🤣 I was truly looking for someone who could make me laugh and who wanted to be a daddy bc I definitely wanted kiddos!🍼👶 I was also hoping this person could calm my anxious AF mind🤪 and give me a state of relaxation by just being next to him.🙏💕 @doughehner and I were scientifically paired and considered “the perfect match.” We didn’t even know each other’s names on our wedding day. We were truly complete strangers committing our lives to each other.👰🤵 We celebrate TEN YEARS MARRIED this month.🎉 It still blows my mind that this whole married at first thing worked out for us.🤯🙏💕 If you’ve been around, you know we have been open and honest about some really rough patches in our marriage … but isn’t that what everyone goes through? You don’t get to a decade married without going through something at some point!🤪 It’s never going to be all rainbows and sunshine.☀️ 🌈 …I am so thankful that God brought us together in the most unusual way. I’m so proud of both of us for sticking it out during the harder times.
