i lived under the weight of people’s expectations and my own limiting beliefs for a long time. this is often part of what i describe as “living in a box.”
whether it was life plans, religion or career goals, i always felt so much pressure to do things “the right way.”
pick one thing. be one thing. do one thing. do it really well.
it wasn’t until i got a bit older that i realized there is no “right way,” and everyone is making it up as they go. our perception creates our reality, so we echo back to each other our perceived “right ways” and that feels like truth.
but really, our “right way” is just one out of a million options.
there is no one-size-fits-all box or way of doing things.
there’s only the way that works for you, and you’re the only one who gets to choose what that looks like.
you don’t have to choose one thing. you can be whatever you want. you can do whatever you want.
you don’t have to ask for permission and you can be messy along the way.
this is YOUR life, and you get to create it on YOUR terms.
