As of last night, President Biden has secured all the delegates needed to win the Democratic nomination for the Presidency. I congratulate him on his win.
I, like many others, am deeply concerned about the prospect of Donald Trump becoming President again and I do believe he poses an existential threat to our democracy. I have said throughout the campaign that I would never do anything that I feel would help Donald Trump regain the White House.
A stand against fascism is now our most urgent concern.
But I agree with Franklin Roosevelt when he said we would not have to worry about a fascist takeover in this country as long as democracy delivered on its promises. And our democracy does not now deliver on its promises to the majority of Americans. I have been traveling the country for the past year, and I have a very strong sense of an energy that is about to blow. People are desperate, and they are not feeling that Washington hears their cries for help. If the President does not offer a more inspiring agenda to the electorate than he is currently offering, then I fear defeat in November.
For that reason, I do not intend to be quiet now. Half the states have not yet weighed in with their primary votes, and for those where we are on the ballot I plan to travel and speak my truth.
The truth is, the Democratic Party is losing voters at a time when we most need them. Black voters, Asian voters, Muslim voters, and young voters are among those headed to the door in way too many cases. I continue to feel that my agenda is the one that would inspire them. I have said repeatedly that I do not believe the greatest electoral risk to the Democrats in 2024 is people voting for Trump, but rather people staying home and not voting, or voting for a third party or independent candidate.
What I will be doing over the next few weeks is what I think of as a kind of shadow campaign, continuing to share with voters the analysis and policies that I believe would make the difference between winning and losing in 2024. I hope you will stay with me as we continue the radical telling so needed in our country today.

America’s middle class has been decimated over the last 50 years, and Democratic as well as Republican Presidents have allowed it to happen. That is the truth. A Marianne Williamson Presidency would turn all that around, and that is the truth as well.
The reason my agenda – an Economic Bill of Rights, etc – is a win for the Democrats in 2024 is because it’s a working class agenda. Working people of the U.S. are the backbone of this country, the core of the middle-class. And without a thriving middle-class there can be no thriving democracy.
Given the political reality, President Biden will probably have the nomination sewn up in terms of the delegate count very soon. But it doesn’t matter. We have the conversation without which he will not win in 2024. And that is what matters.
Hang in there. Make noise. The platform of a Presidential campaign primary season is the way we can harness the conversation, articulate a new vision, and penetrate the field whether we can win the nomination or not. The political-media industrial complex turns elections into mere performance, a circus where they choose their clowns, a machine that eats away at the dream of democracy. It’s very important that we not allow ourselves to get sucked into the machinery, our democratic soul shredded into pieces for their benefit.
Stand for democracy despite their shenanigans. I’ll be on the road in all the primary states that are left, having the conversation that is the one we need for a sustainable future. So spread the information. The system is locked up, but it’s our job to unlock it.

I’m very honored to have the endorsement of State Representative Jonah Wheeler in the great state of New Hampshire. Washington and Georgia and Democrats Abroad all have their primaries today! (Mississippi does too but at the last minute they went from a $5000 ballot filing fee to $25,000 and we couldn’t afford it, though I would have loved to). If you haven’t voted early, then please vote today! To those of you I met this week, it was so lovely to be with you and thank you so much.
Illinois, Arizona and Louisiana – I’ll see you this week & next! Stay tuned for details.
Jonah, I cannot thank you enough for your generous endorsement. Continue to rock it in New Hampshire.
To all of you, thank you and please do what you can to support the journey. Donate at the link tree or at Marianne 2024.com. Please know every dollar helps.
With every vote we get, our power to influence the conversation is increased. What we’re doing is important. I feel it in my bones. 💙

I had a wonderful time last night speaking at The Altar in Chicago, sharing a conversation about the state of our country with such wonderful people. There are two distinctly different realms of experience involved in all this. One is the American people, the experience of whom is exhilarating and inspiring. We are a good and noble people when we are called to be, no better and no worse than anyone else in the world. The problem is not the American people. The problem is a sclerotic political system that acts like a lid that sits on top of the angels of our better nature. The political media industrial complex creates a block to the expression of vitality and regeneration that would otherwise come forth at such a time as this.
I’m continuing to travel because we need to harness the angels of our better nature for broad scale social and political change. We simply must. It’s not about winning power for a politician. It’s about winning power for the people. Thomas Jefferson said “the only safe repository for power in the United States is in the hands of the people.” We need to assume power in our heads and hearts that we might take it back into our hands.
On to Tucson, Arizona today. New Orleans next week. Check the event page at Marianne 2024.com to see where I will be. Please continue to spread the word, the videos etc. and please donate to support the work so we can continue to put it all out there through the primaries.
Have a beautiful day, and thanks again to all the people in California, Washington, Michigan, Georgia, and Illinois – all around the country, really – who have been so unbelievably wonderful.

Humanitarian values rather than economic ones should be the organizing principle of American society. Help people thrive, and the economy will automatically expand. #Marianne2024
We play war games, and we should also play peace games. We have armies of military personnel, and we should also have armies of peace builders. We need to imagine our world without war 100 years from now and reverse engineer from there. #Marianne2024

Race relations remains one of the greatest problems facing our country today. In this as with every other issue, a core principle of a Williamson presidency will be solving problems by addressing their underlying causes. America cannot have the future we would wish for ourselves, and for our children, unless we’re willing to clean up issues left over from the past.
I do not believe the average American is a racist, but I believe the average American is undereducated about the history of race in America. When our history is viewed through a clear lens – historically, economically and morally – white America is seen owing a debt to the descendants of enslaved people. That is why I support, and have a plan for, a program of reparations to the descendants of American enslaved people.
Slavery existed in America from 1619 until 1865. That was followed by another 100 years of institutional violence against blacks in the form of Black Code Laws, segregation, lynching, Ku Klux Klan and other forms of private and public horror. All in all, there were 350 years of institutional violence committed against a people who had been brought to this country against their will, then sold as slaves for purposes of building the American economy.
At the time when enslaved people were first emancipated at the end of the Civil War, there are estimated to have been between 4 to 5 million enslaved persons in the American South. General Tecumseh Sherman promised to every former enslaved family of four, forty acres and a mule. While this would have provided a way to make a living and feed one’s family, integrating economically into life as a freed citizen, only a few actually received the acreage and among those who received it most had it then taken away….(continue reading my full reparations plan at link in bio or at Marianne2024.com)
