Nikki Reed Instagram – Taking a moment today (and every day) to celebrate the women around me who own and operate conscious companies that inspire me daily, who uplift me, who shape me, who have moved me in ways they might not even know. The more I work with my hands both on my farm and within my company, the more the word community comes to mind. The land has been such a tangible metaphor for this. Farms build community. They inspire connection, sharing of tips and helping hands and food and experience. And similarly, small businesses build community. They cultivate sisterhood, support, a sense of purpose, of cross pollination, of nurturing – and this community has quite literally shaped me into the woman I am. I can’t think of International Women’s Day without thinking about this incredible global community of those I know, some I don’t know, and some who I know only through this digital space. While there are hundreds of women who have been a part of my journey and me a part of theirs, probably too many to list here, I wanted to take a moment to highlight some who are top of mind today. Sending all of my love and gratitude to all of the women everywhere who I know, or know of, who have wrapped their arms around my soul🍋🌿✨

Nikki Reed Instagram – Playing dress up on the farm in our new Bayou turquoise with a few of my favorite finds that I wanted to highlight here. From this @madlyvintage top made out of repurposed vintage Missoni textiles, to my dear sister @motherofpearl ‘s gorgeous organic cotton ecru jeans, I love watching modern meet vintage meet repurposed with a story. That’s not all, the entire Mother of Pearl line prioritizes sustainability from their sourcing, to their “fiber to final” promise, to their consciousness around eliminating harmful dyes & chemicals by using a special OZONE treatment to get to their desired wash effect. I love watching women shine, and I love that these boss babes are taking innovation to the next level from concept to completion!

Nikki Reed Instagram – Biodegradable denim used to grow the dinner on our plate!!! WHAT?! When the soil makes the clothing and the clothing makes the food- never have these two industries that have always been part of each other, come together in this way to open up new pathways for what is possible until now. What you see here is circular fashion and regenerative agriculture becoming one, through food. Agriculture has always been a part of the fashion supply chain – from the raw materials grown to produce fashion, to the degradation of the environment due to the toxicity of the fashion industry. For better or for worse, they have danced together. But now, for the first time ever, that dance is shifting to one of possibility and positivity through this denim / tomato story. By using fully compostable @candianidenim denim to feed the soil, @quintosapore grew the very food we ate, which will forever change the standard of both fashion and food!!! MY MIND IS BLOWN!!!!!!! Thank you @liviafirth for your desire to push the boundaries of what is possible along with your twin brothers @mr.eco81 and @ale_giuggioli , and this beautiful room of people you bring together year after year!

Nikki Reed Instagram – My favorite place in the world, and these @arhaus solar lanterns sure do make outdoor bath parties that much more fun! But don’t let the music fool you, without it you would be listening to action figures jumping off of bathtub hardware plunging into the deep blue sea to meet their mermaid friends 🙂 … 🧜♀️
Nikki Reed Instagram – How wild is it to think that due to things like modern day farming practices, our soil has become so depleted and stripped of the nutrients and minerals that are essential for our bodies, that our food is now less nutrient dense as a result? Studies have shown that we can eat exactly the same as our parents and grandparents did, in the same amounts, and get fewer nutrients. Why? Because healthy rich soil is what we need to grow nutrient rich food, and we are now seeing that clearer than ever before. That’s why it is incredible that @needed my favorite prenatal brand, has partnered with 1% for the Planet to support initiatives I’m passionate about like soil health, regenerative agriculture, and food security. This means that whenever you buy Needed’s supplements you’re not only nourishing yourself, but Mother Earth too!!!!! 🌎🌱!!! Businesses that join 1% for the Planet commit to giving 1% of sales each year to approved nonprofit partners focused on environmental health, and I am over the moon that Needed chose to focus on soil rescue (my new favorite term that Laura Dern coined in her speech at the EMA’s!) Nikki Reed Instagram – We can look for rainbows all day long, but sometimes they show up when we least expect them. 🌈 Stepping into a busy work day, stepping out of a busy sick month (or three), while looking at a calendar that is constantly overflowing, and deciding to embrace the notion of “leaning in”. It creates a nice visual doesn’t it? Instead of thinking about surrendering to the busy, I am just going to lean into it. Hold it. Embrace it. Appreciate it. Celebrate it. The imperfection, the imbalance, the mania. Two kids, two companies, around the clock work and chaos, and sometimes it feels good to just own the fact that I am not going to be able to wash my dishes or my hair :). The joy is in the journey right? Happy Friday everyone!
Nikki Reed Instagram – When two areas of passion collide🌿🌎So excited about @needed partnering with @1percentftp to support initiatives that mean a lot to me personally, like soil health, food security and regenerative farming practices!!!!
