Min babica/mormor fick lixom digga till den i sin lilla radio vid spisen där hon alltid stod och gjorde apfelstrudel och borek. Hon var så stolt. Hennes familj var alpmusiker och några av dom första att spelas på radio i Slovenien. Men det var bara killarna som fick spela, allt annat var olämpligt. Det är många lager. Men jag älskar att jag fick besöka henne varje dag i radion, eftersom vi bara kunde ses 1 gång per år. Jag har faktiskt en till liten grej som jag tar med mig här och det är en livevideo som vi passade på att filma när jag fick den stora äran att avsluta pridefestivalen i somras. I performed it at the gay gala, sang it for the Crown Princess on her birthday, and continued on tour in the midst of the pandemic, in front of an audience in need of music, despite the risk of infection. Everything breathed here and now, and the lyrics “Du äger ditt skimmer” were present in everything I saw wherever I turned. Even in nature. It was beautiful to see the world that way, and at the same time, so sad because we destroy so much for each other and our planet. I wanted to write a song about finding peace and tranquility. About being in a place where nothing threatens us, in a future where we can live together and bloom in our own way. Completely at peace. I want to thank you, @josefine.lindstrand for creating this song with me, for playing with me for so many years, being a phenomenal pianist and person. You are a gem. Thank you, @annikanorlinsta who sent back my song sketch with these lyrics overnight. I remember the place, the chair, the Chinese restaurant at Hötorget when my phone chimed. I performed it at the gay gala, sang it for the Crown Princess on her birthday, and continued on tour in the midst of the pandemic, in front of an audience in need of music, despite the risk of infection. Everything breathed here and now, and the lyrics “Du äger ditt skimmer” were present in everything I saw wherever I turned. Even in nature. It was beautiful to see the world that way, and at the same time, so sad because we destroy so much for each other and our planet. I wanted to write a song about finding peace and tranquility. About being in a place where nothing threatens us, in a future where we can live together and bloom in our own way. Completely at peace. I want to thank you, @josefine.lindstrand for creating this song with me, for playing with me for so many years, being a phenomenal pianist and person. You are a gem. Thank you, @annikanorlinsta who sent back my song sketch with these lyrics overnight. I remember the place, the chair, the Chinese restaurant at Hötorget when my phone chimed. The words felt too valuable to be read from a mobile. And thanks to @motoboymusic and @nikostoessl for this production. I think it’s a masterpiece. We exchanged files and laughed through the nights on Zoom. So much fun. This time awakened something entirely new in me. Many things fell into place, and I found a new home, so to speak, with many more women, recognition, and inspiration. Priceless. Thank you all.
