Träffade @davidbeckham backstage när jag spela i Madrid, snyggaste jag sett som ni ser att jag tyckte😂 Poliseskort till scenen och gig i Sibirien osv.. En annan härlig grej med Satellites var att den också blev stor i Slovenien. Min mammas hemland. Min babica/mormor fick lixom digga till den i sin lilla radio vid spisen där hon alltid stod och gjorde apfelstrudel och borek. Hon var så stolt. Hennes familj var alpmusiker och några av dom första att spelas på radio i Slovenien. Men det var bara killarna som fick spela, allt annat var olämpligt. Det är många lager. Men jag älskar att jag fick besöka henne varje dag i radion, eftersom vi bara kunde ses 1 gång per år. När jag fyllde 25 blev jag firad av deras statliga tv-kanal och hela släkten där satt fastklistrad vid tv-nyheterna när jag stod å pratade min bebis-slovenska i direktsändning. I believe that the lyrics dressed in that catchy, glossy musical costume were one of the reasons we reached such a broad audience, both old and young. I often heard that my voice had a touch of melancholy… Maybe it did. But what I do know is that we were flying ! We argued at times, quite often, if I’m being honest. 😂 But what I really want to say is THANK YOU. Thanks to you, the producer @burg4821 songwriters @niklasvonderburg and @anoobhagavan for these crazy years. I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. “For ever and ever life is now or never Forever never comes around “ to quote ourselves! ✌️ And we made Swedish dance and pop music history!! 🤘😎❤️ You always told me, ‘Petra, when you get older, you’ll have time for that jazz!!’ But that will have to wait again! Now it’s going to be acoustic. These songs can stand completely stripped down and take on a whole different dimension, which I’ve always felt and loved about our songs. This summer, I had the opportunity to record for 2 days with some of my favorite musicians, @anna.dager @hannaekstroms @peterkvint (whom I produced this with) and a new and incredible jazz pianist in the group, @joellyssarides !
