On the day the team found out about the ending of our show, I was having my pre-op appt yup, Iā€™m having surgeryā¤ļø A while back I talked about a lump on my thyroid. Everything seem to be fine after the biopsy but as it continued to grow I saw a specialist - so for someone like me who doesnā€™t have thyroid disease and recent findings of ā€˜suspicious elementsā€™ within the nodule, I need to take this sucker outā€¦ Hereā€™s to a quick recovery and to a successful surgery. I would say this is the best selfie Iā€™ve takenā€¦even though it looks like I took a good southpaw hookšŸ˜Š Surgery took 4 hours, eek rather than two, made me nervous that there was more involved but it went really well - now we wait for the pathology report. THANK YOU to the incredible team at Toronto Western you took such good care of me from the moment I arrived to leaving. Nurse Layna made me giggle she said I look 31 šŸ˜Š My surgeon was absolutely the best, his kindest put me at ease before the surgery. He is the only Canadian doc who does the TOETVA (Transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach) which is through the mouth and not the neck - insane technology. Success, hope to heal quickly, hit the gym, have a Big Mac, lol And thank you for the love, itā€™s uplifting. Means a lot ā¤ļø #SurgeryComplete #SuckerIsOut
