At Bar Hemingway here at the @ritzparis, and they have a section behind the bar of portraits of Hemingway drawn on bar coasters. Of course @joke2far wanted to be immortalized so I ‘allowed’ Ernest to cozy up to her LOL. I asked her—‘where am I!?’ Her reply is that you’re the art on the coaster. Touché 😍 BTW the dry martinis are hella’ strong but very conducive to sketching on coasters 🤓

Ooh La La! My dear friends and hosts Julien and @oliv.jalabert sent me this photo from my very first signing TWENTY years ago at the famed @album_comics store here on the Saint-Germain in Paris! It has to be the summer of 2004 as we are passing out bottles of water to the fans who were lined up and waiting patiently outside the shop in the sweltering heat. Batman: Hush was wrapping up, and I do remember it being a total delight to meet the fans, sign their books and draw some free sketches to give away. They say that in life that you can never go back, but I do feel you can return which makes me so excited to revisit one of my favorite comic shops in the world this Thursday and Friday!
