It can now be revealed: Marvel vs DC Omnibus cover—collecting the Big Two crossovers from yesteryear. Are you not entertained? Coming your way later this year ❤️💙❤️💙inks by the ever dashing, ink hashing scottwilliamsinks; hues by the scintillating, ever colorful @sinccolor
Because you asked so nicely—here’s the Amalgam (@dcofficial and @marvel) universe omnibus collection cover now inked (by @scottwilliamsinks) and colored (by @sinccolor). I thank my collaborators all the time for their dedication to the most insane assignments 😂. Unfortunately we don’t get paid per character or per line 😜. We just can’t help ourselves 🤓 #amalgamuniverse #dccomics #marvelcomics
MERCI @ALBUM_COMICS for hosting me in the gorgeous CITY OF LIGHTS and @LUCIEXMNT for capturing the two hours of footage!!! 📹📀🏴☠️
Ok I’ve heard through back channels that my “4 easy steps to draw so and so” are BS and that I need to slow it waaay down and walk people through the real, arduous, grinding, hard work it takes to transform a blank sheet of paper into a piece which I can hopefully eBay for some decent coin…er, into a piece I can hopefully donate to a museum…so here ya go! Don’t ever say I don’t listen…#howtodrawSupermanin1938steps
In the Golden and Silver age of Comics—Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne’s faces were often drawn exactly the same with slightly different hair styles. Our heroes often used this similarity to great advantage pretending to be one another to stymie their collective villains but often to the consternation of their friends and allies, Lois, Alfred and Dick! To help celebrate Superman’s first appearance as the world’s first superhero back on April 18th, 1938–I present to you all my easy HOW TO DRAW SUPERMAN IN 4 EASY STEPS! But you will need to grab an egg and review my ‘how to draw Batman’ primer a few weeks back…til then, here’s to 86 wonderful years of the Man of Tomorrow! #happysupermanday #dccomics #superman #batman #86 #happyanniversary #action1 #bigblue
🤡🤡🤡 He’s not alone anymore. Joker: Folie à Deux – only in theaters and @IMAX, October 4. #JokerMovie #FilmedForIMAX
Today marks the first appearance of the Joker back in 1940 in Batman issue 1! Happy anniversary to the clown prince of crime! Here’s a collab between one of our daughters @seungri.98 and myself from waaaay back. I actually drew the Joker parts trying to emulate a kid’s cartoony style 🤡. ‘Trying’ being the key word here—as it’s one of the hardest things to pull off as an artist. I can spot a fake kid’s drawing in a movie or TV show a mile away…am I right on this one, fellow artists? #dccomics #thejoker #firstappearance
Time and Space Through this story, we come and go. Say goodbye and say hello. The longer we’re around, the less it makes sense. For a better world we believed in all confidence. But with you, in this moment of time and space. I’m crying, With joy, tears down my face. I’m dying, From laughter, you’re my funny place. I’m flying, So high, But never alone in your embrace. To have and to hold, For better or worse. Cheers, it’s your big day! But what you want most, Is the woman who gave you birth. It saddens me to no end, Time waits for no one. But maybe there’s a way. Perhaps together, Just you and me. We can make the weight of time less heavy. Moment by moment. Day by day. Case by case. Together in this moment of time and space. — I love you Carla ❤️ Happy Birthday, babe!
I want to thank my AMAZING EA (executive administrator) Dora for being there for me, my family, our team and DC Comics in general! Dora continues to have our collective backs while remaining 3 steps ahead of us (which is no small feat!); she ensures DC Comics is truly the best it can be. So in honor of National Administrative Professionals Day—we made a small video thanking her for being the coolest, most multitalented, unsung hero in the DC multiverse! Thanks to Andy Danger for 🎥 and the team for acting as themselves. 🏆🏆🏆#nationaladministrativeprofessionalsday #dccomics #dorayoshimoto
Thank you Rob and Michelle of @sccomicon for having me at your 10th anniversary of your amazing comic con in Greenville, South Carolina! Despite me feeling a bit under the weather—the enthusiasm and love from the fans was so terrific and uplifting—I can’t thank y’all enough. I hope to return to the part of the US which has by far the most polite fans I’ve ever encountered. Everything was ‘thank you, sir,’ ‘most kind of you, sir’, ‘yes, sir’…even when the one fan asked during the panel: ‘back when you were in your prime…’ he added ‘I’m sorry, sir’ at the end. 😎 Can’t beat southern hospitality 😜🤓 here’s a glimpse at what transpired over a full day of signings, snaps and sketches! Thank you @thedavidwray and my security team who handled the signings with class and efficiency. Your guys are pros! Pic 3 is a photo a fan brought of our first signing over 30 years ago back in Charlotte, North Carolina. Or what I call the Prime Years 🫠. Slides 4,5 and 6 are of the Joker…a typical subject matter choice for my usual Q&A sketching panels. Except this time, I drew it as if Superman was looking through his head using his X-ray vision. Congrats to the winner who happened to have a lucky screwdriver on him for the random lotto win! Last two are my first time (and I predict only time) drawing our 26th President and my first on Homelander lol. Apologies to the fans whose pictures I grabbed from their feeds. Thank you all again for your kindness and love for comics! #comicon #sccomicon Oh and PS. The answer is black. Very, very shiny black. #iykyk
