From @jimmykimmellive and a gig at the legendary @thewhiskyagogo with our Summer Road Trip tour mates, @Train, to joining kellyripa in Las Vegas for @livekellyandmark, this has been a very busy break. There were the @charleyhoffmanfoundation and Warburton @StJude benefit shows, free shows with @thejimirsaycollection, (thoughts and prayers to Jim on his continuing recovery), a performance for SiriusXM rock-genius @eddietrunk’s 40th anniversary, and an acoustic show with my buddy and seven-time major ATP champion @matswilanderofficial at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA. … just to mention a few of the fun and rewarding experiences I enjoyed due to the support you, the fans have shown REO Speedwagon through the years. You all have put me in a position of being able to give back; it feels great and you are part of it. After 17 years as Kevin Cronin’s guitar tech, in May of 2019, Steve “Smooth” Summers became gravely ill with pulmonary fibrosis. He was pulled off the road by his pulmonologist and told that he needed a lung transplant. Smooth had a bilateral lung transplant on April 17, 2020 and since then, Kevin and REO have sought creative ways to help him build a new life including the “Time For Me To Fly” Collection! Bid now on a beautifully painted guitar by Smooth himself, played by KC on stage, AND that will be signed and personalized to the winner!
