Theaster Gates Instagram – The Johnson Publishing Company Library is roughly 29% completed (3,400 books cataloged)!
In our digitizing process, we’ve been delighted to discover a number of rare books, including “The Soul of Wit” (1978) by Elissa Ward Johnson, available at only one other library according to Worldcat. We’ve also catalogued Pearl Bailey’s Duey’s Tale (1975) and Hurry up America and spit (1976), personally signed to John Johnson.
