Because we… the idea of chosen family, we know in queer community exists, but we get to choose who our ancestors are, too. And so I’ve chosen Marsha. I’ve chosen Sylvia. I’ve chosen Crystal LaBeija. Chosen the Lady Chablis Chosen Monica Roberts. And beautifully was able to know her in my life…But that’s it. And so I think knowing that, you know, there has to be something else that bounds us beyond the physical is there. And the last thing I will say is, we talk about gaydar and queerdar and transdar. I think those are the fundamentals for seeing the story beyond maybe the story that someone can tell us. And so there’s a connection when you see someone on the street and you’re like, oh, they’re a little bit different, right? And it’s not in a shady sense. It’s in a like, I know that there’s a universe behind those eyes. Whether I get to know it, I get the privilege of knowing it or not. I’m gonna at least acknowledge that it’s there. Yes.
