I continue to feel incredible throughout all the changes in my body and the calmness that has swept over my mind since my very first dose of testosterone. Being visible is not always easy—especially right now. The world is awash in misinformation about trans people, and those of us who are public in our transness tend to get a lot of negativity thrown our way. But it’s also an important time because of what’s happening. So, those of us who can be out there continue to do so for those who cannot for their own safety. And yes, for some it is really unsafe. We need to change that. If you are not able to be visible or to be out as trans at all, you are still valid. You are still valued. And I see you. Happy #tdov to all my siblings. I love you. Anna Paquin Instagram – Our crew siblings can’t/aren’t surviving this strike. I believe the things #sagaftra are fighting for are crucial to the preservation of ours as a financially sustainable AND creative industry. PLEASE get back to the table and figure this out. I stand 100% with my union AND also am acutely aware how detrimental to the livelihoods prolonged strikes are both in the US and abroad to the crew members so many of us actors genuinely DO consider family.
