It could be a personal desire or sometimes you might want it to fit in better.
After all we do live in a status driven society.
So follow either of these 2 rules while buying luxury items:
1) Invest the same amount of money you plan to spend on the item. This way you will have to save twice the amount and you wont go overboard.
2) Don’t use your primary income to buy luxury, but it from the returns/interest you books from your investment. This way you get to enjoy the returns from your smart planning earlier.
