Ashley Scott Instagram – Kenneth Mitchell left this earth yesterday. I can’t imagine a more excruciating sentence then being diagnosed with ALS when you have two children and an incredibly devoted wife whom you’re madly in love with and entering the prime of your life. You are kind and gentle, you’ve been a good man with long standing friendships and raised with a strong work ethic. You are creative and grateful to be secure in a business that you have worked so hard to integrate into. I can’t imagine the journey Kenneth, Susan and the kids had to endure. But what I know to be true is that they kept going, kept seeking cures, hope, love and laughter. Holidays in costume and beach days filled with salty ocean air and memories lasting lifetimes. Steadfast in life and the gift of time until there was no more time here to give. I see these photos of us all working together before life took a turn, for all of us in unexpected ways. A reminder of how precious each moment is. Kenneth was a brave warrior of men. The last message I received from him was to secure a good doctor for his daughter. (I might know a great one:)
I have a feeling that Kenneth gave it absolutely every ounce of life he could squeeze out and and now in heaven will be the greatest angel to all that so desperately still need his guidance. I pray tonight for God to move mountains find a cure ALS. I pray for your sweet family and your loving friends who weep tonight. I pray for comfort and your freedom to run, flip and angel yourself into elation. I bet the view is pretty good from up there.
