Ich erinnere mich noch daran, wie wir das erste Mal gesprochen haben, am Telefon nach der Ausstrahlung des Films „Ausser Kontrolle“. Ich war sehr aufgeregt, mit Dir, dem Chefredakteur des ZDF, zu sprechen. Du hast mir zu meiner Arbeit gratuliert…das werde ich nie vergessen.
Ich danke Dir für Deine immer offene, ehrliche, auch kritische, aber immer liebevolle Unterstützung…

Dear Hans, with sadness I read about your passing. We had just written on my birthday… I still remember the first time we spoke, on the phone after the film “Out of Control” had aired. I was very excited to speak to you, the editor-in-chief of ZDF. You congratulated me on my work… I will never forget that.
Thank you for your always open, honest sometimes critical but always loving support…
You will be missed…
