Gemma Atkinson Instagram – I love this. You can break the cycle for your family and create new habits that you know will help them thrive. I heard a story once about two brothers with an alcoholic father. One of them became an alcoholic themselves stating that, he saw his dad drink everyday and despite the damage it caused he didn’t know any different. The other brother never touched alcohol in his life stating that, I saw my dad drink everyday and saw the damage it caused so I wanted different. There’s always different paths we can take. It’s not always an easy path, but it’s there. Be it with our relationship with ourselves or with others. Hats off to anyone trying to better themselves and their family. Keep going! 🙌🏼❤️
Gemma Atkinson Instagram – Little bit of this, little bit of that 😃 10 weeks postpartum today and on week 3 of @hatch_athletic PP program. Starting to introduce some light weights to sessions which I’m enjoying. Ego aside and nothing too heavy at all. I’m switching off the “I know I can lift way more” button and going with the “my body is still recovering from a major op so just chill!” 😂 As always I started the session with my core work to help heal my diastasis recti. I’m back in with debs soon so I can check my progress on that when she measures my gap. I then did supersets of goblets & shoulder press and then a 21, 18, 15, 12, 9 ladder of lateral box steps into walking lunges. This was a killer on my thighs and glutes! Ended as always with my stretch routine. The same one I did throughout pregnancy and before hand. Always makes me feel good 😌 Remember you MUST get the go ahead from a professional before starting any kind of exercise postpartum, especially after a C section. Get your checks done first and only start If and when you feel ready 👍🏼
