this time last year my first gallery show was up in nyc, something i hope to do again some day. at the time, i’d never oil painted before (taught myself on youtube with blind faith), never painted at this scale, and had never painted anything this style or subject matter before. usually going for pastels and “happy” canvases, what this show became took me by surprise. i didnt fully understand what it was about at the time, and im only just beginning to understand whatever my subconscious was trying to say. so a reminder to myself to trust, get back to creating things, and stay delusional !! 🌱
