Jihae Instagram – A happy surprise to learn Ether is at Art Basel again this year. I designed her to speak upon motion trigger and to sing a song I composed with a collection of forests sounds from across the globe. Beats were made using sea mammal sounds, vocals & percussion by @mathiaskunzli recorded live in a cave in LA.
Ether the singing cow represents 1 million plant and animal species going extinct, a shepard’s call in reverse crying out to humanity to come back into harmony with nature as earth’s climate reach the tipping point of no return.
Ether was created for the 20th anniversary of the Cow Parade Public Art Exhibit 2021 to benefit @godslovenyc doing incredible work feeding the sick.
