The fact so many people are so sad he is leaving shows how much he is loved and what a great guy he is.

Our mission of wear nothing new for 2024 continues, we’ve shopped in my wardrobe, bough pre loved from charity. Then when I needed an outfit for an event and thought ‘I have nothing to wear’ I turned to a friend (well @charlottehawkins1 😜) to raid her wardrobe and then borrow something. We could have searched second hand or hired-but no need to spend time or money when there was a lovely outfit (I’ve had my eye on for a while) next door. #SharingIsCaring

🗓️ Why do we have a leap year?
Our modern calendars contain 365 days in a year, the time it takes for the Earth to orbit the Sun but the actual time it takes for Earth to orbit its star is slightly longer—roughly 365.2421 days.
🌍 The difference might seem negligible, but over decades and centuries that missing quarter of a day per year can add up. So every 4 years (nearly) we add one day on 29th February-a leap day.
🔭 Many ancient calendars had entire leap months to keep them on track. Back in 45BC it was Julius Caesar who introduced a leap day.
Caesar and the philosopher Sosigenes of Alexandria made one important modification: instead of relying on the stars, they would simply add a day to every fourth year.
🗓️ In the 16th Century, the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar marked the last change to the Western calendar as we know it today.
To keep us on track, not every 4 years needs a leap day-so they eliminated centurial years not divisible by 400 (1700, 1800, and 1900 were not leap years.
🎉 People born on Leap Day are called ‘Leaplings’
There are only about 5 million people in the whole world
the odds of being born on Leap Day standing at about 1-in-1,461.
So if you were born in 1980, you’d be 44 years old, but this would only be your 11th birth day (29th February)!

🤓Sooo much excitement when a group of meteorologist were greeted by this at the top of the mountain in Andorra!!
So when I filmed I got lots of the optical phenomena wrong!! We were all so excited we got mixed up-see pic at the end for actual names!
The big white ring was insane-We’ve never seen anything like it, I’ve seen a few of them a few times but separately, but to see them all together on a snowy mountain 🏔️ was surreal and magical!!

The @royalmailofficial have revealed eight new stamps to mark the 170th anniversary of the @metoffice and depict the history, science and future of Weather Forecasting
The subjects covered include the Terra Nova Expedition to Antarctica, establishment of the iconic Shipping Forecast in 1924, and Barbara Edwards, the first British female TV weather presenter

A ‘Potentially hazardous’ asteroid the size of a football stadium will ‘skim’ past Earth this week, said @nasa
-The asteroid, called 2008 OS7, measures about 285 metres/890 feet in diameter
-It will pass our planet at a distance of 1,770,000 miles on Friday afternoon, that’s 7.5 lunar distance (ie 7.5 times further away than the Moon is from Earth)
-It is travelling at 40,000 mph
-A ‘potentially hazardous asteroid’ is more than 140 metres and within 4.6 million miles of Earth
-There are millions of asteroids in our solar system, 2350 are ‘potentially hazardous’
