Leah Remini Instagram – Three years ago, I embarked on a terrifying journey: becoming a college student at the age of 50 after only having an 8th-grade education and spending 35 years in a totalitarian cult. After three years of hard work, long nights, tears, and wanting to give up so many times, I have earned an associate’s degree from NYU. I’m now working on my bachelor’s degree. I desperately wanted a higher education for many years but didn’t move forward because I feared I was not smart enough. Even though I had managed to leave Scientology, three decades of brainwashing still gripped my mind. I feel so grateful to have gotten the support I needed from my family and friends, including my mom, my step-father George, my sisters Nicole and Shannon, my husband Angelo, and most of all, my little nugget, my daughter Sofia. So many of you have gotten me through the most challenging times. I have read many of your comments and drawn inspiration from them. I couldn’t have done this without the support of my therapist, who provided the support and tools that prevented me from giving up early on. Thank you to the professors and staff at NYU and my amazing tutor. I know I am in a position of privilege that has offered me the flexibility to do this. But over the past three years, I’ve heard from thousands of people, especially women, who have decided to take the leap at an older age and get their GED or pursue a college education. Whether a cult used to control your life, you have a full-time job as a stay-at-home parent, or full-time job(s) outside of the home, it’s never too late to continue your education and pursue what you have always wanted to achieve for yourself!

Leah Remini Instagram – I need you to understand something…When I am at Costco, the grocery store, CVS, Walgreens, etc —- I am going to need to walk down every aisle. I need to see whats doin with toothpaste, what the latest is with aluminum foil…this is like a vacation for me. It is therapeutic…it is meditative. If you’re with me, don’t ask me why I’m walking down this aisle or that…let me live!

Earlier this week, the Aftermath Foundation, which does vital work to help people get out of Scientology, put up a billboard next to Scientology’s largest base in LA. Los Angeles is where thousands of Scientology Sea Org members (workforce) are abused and held as indentured servants to this totalitarian cult. Within hours of the billboard going up, Scientology officials placed this cherry picker and lift in front of it. That’s what you can see in the second slide of this post. The base was closed, so Sea Org members wouldn’t see the billboard as they walked to and from different buildings. Now, just two days after the billboard went up, @clearchanneloutdoor has taken the billboard down after facing threats and pressure tactics from Scientology. They’ve done this even though @theaftermathfoundation had a one-year contract for the billboard. This billboard simply offered a safe exit opportunity to Scientologists who wished to leave. It’s not a problematic billboard by the definition of any reasonable person. But of course Scientology takes issue with it. Taking this billboard down is unacceptable and just another example of a major corporation caving to a dangerous totalitarian cult that is abusing its members daily as a matter of policy. Unlike Clear Channel Outdoor, the Aftermath Foundation will not back down in the face of harassment. Leah Remini Instagram – The Islamic Republic has sentenced a hero to death. @toomajofficial , the famous Iranian rapper and freedom fighter who has served as the voice for millions of Iranians, has always used his music to advocate for freedom and to battle the corrupt and criminal Islamic Republic. He has been in and out of prison for years on various absurd charges ranging from insulting the Supreme Leader to propaganda against the regime to propagandistic activity against the government, cooperation with hostile governments, and forming illegal groups to create insecurity in the country. The names used for these charges are intended to cast the person in a bad light and are used for propaganda. Toomaj did nothing but fight for the freedom of all Iranians and call for an end to the regime. The regime kidnaped Toomaj on October 2022 during the Women’s Life Freedom protests, and he was brutally tortured in prison before being released briefly and then kidnapped again. Toomaj’s attorney confirmed today that he has been sentenced to death. This sentencing took place, as it always does, after a sham trial. Toomaj’s music is not only revolutionary because he is willing to go after the regime while living in Iran, but he also goes after all the enablers of the regime both in Iran and overseas: the media, NGOs, and foreign politicians who don’t stand up for the freedom of Iranians. Please join Iranians in Iran and all over the world in fighting for Toomaj’s life.

BREAKING David Miscavige, the autocratic leader of Scientology, has filed a motion in LA Superior Court to have the Judge presiding over @leahremini lawsuit against him and Scientology removed. This comes after the Judge ruled that the organization Miscavige controls, the Religious Technology Center, would remain a party to Leah’s lawsuit. The Religious Technology Center controls the vast web of Scientology organizations, including the Office of Special Affairs (OSA), which is Scientology’s global intelligence agency. OSA is charged, in part, with overseeing the operations conducted against Remini and anyone and any organization declared an enemy of Scientology. My full story is linked in my bio.
