My sister recently sent this picture to me, and I had to smile. The eyes haven’t changed. Not sure of the exact road to be taken but clear with direction. Not overly confident, or overwhelmed by the unknown. Just present.
There’s a quote that says, “Showing up is 80% of success.” My dream started young, and I’m still ‘showing up’ to see what else is possible.
If you’re a writer, show up at the keyboard.
If you’re a producer, show up at your workstation.
If you’re a coach, show up for your clients.
If you’re a musician, show up for practice.
If you’re a student, show up for study.
If you’re a … fill in the blank. Show up.
Whether you’re a creator, thinker, healer, or simply someone navigating the complexities of life, showing up, even when the outcomes are uncertain, that’s where dreams become reality, and hope springs eternal. It’s in showing up that you give life to possibilities, fuel for your passions, and vision and voice to the BIG YOU.
Success isn’t just about the grand achievements. It’s in the persistent efforts, daily decisions, and choice to still believe. It’s in the intention to be fully engaged in the process; celebrating your milestones, big and small, along the way.
The little you and the big you are indeed one, connected by a thread of dreams and experiences. Flashback Friday can be more than just a look back; it’s also a reminder of all you’ve become. And if you’re not so pleased with the results, here’s to taking one more step, on one more day, towards yet another dream until you see the results you’ve been looking for.
