Vinessa Shaw Instagram – My mentor in life, Daisaku Ikeda, passed away a few days ago at the age of 95. Through his encouragement, I was able to believe in the inherent dignity of myself and others; stand up for justice, learn what’s good and evil, find hope where there is none, and never ever give up. He was the first person who ever taught me that women, youth and mothers should be treasured in society. He taught me how to become strong while young so I can help build a more peaceful society. He also taught me that a woman’s life begins in her 40’s! :). He was able to touch millions of people’s lives in this way without ever having met him. And including the dignitaries he met, everyone felt seen, heard and valued. One-to-one dialogue was his passionate stance for building peace.
