writing my script for Autonomy, toying with intentional inaccessibility mourning the irony of having to release a statement prior to the performance on intentional inaccessibility within moments of the piece as in-access within art spaces — within the world — is painfully expected by disabled individuals What do you wish you had more access to? Do you, if ever, wish you had less access?

None of these sketches have been seen side by side. Taking the past year to archive and curate these pieces to hang among each other has allowed me to visually connect personal revelations that I wouldn’t have had access to otherwise. ǝsuǝS ǝʞɐW o⊥ ǝʌɐH ʇ’usǝoᗡ ʇI is up at @hannahtraoregallery until March 30th ❤️🩹

thinking about all the times I was told I had “too much ambition” and “there is not a large enough audience for trans, disabled, BIPOC work” trust yourself. see you at @friezeofficial NYC 👀

Coated in goo in total restraint, I spent hours immobilized and simultaneously deaf without the ability to see. building my body from the ground up (( this time as a tribute )) The pain began to set in around two and a half hours, with hours still to go – it hurt differently than in the past. Buried alive, I realized consent over my pain gave me permission to find purpose within it. This time I chose it. ❤️🩹 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘕𝘠 𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘺 2𝘯𝘥, 2024 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘦𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘮 𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. ❤️🩹 Elated to be a part of Overflow, Afterglow: New Work in Chromatic Figuration alongside these angel trailblazers!
