@ChellaMan is an artist, writer, educator, and performer living as a cyborg, committed to revealing continuums of disability, linguistics, queerness, and healing across a multidisciplinary practice. Their work “The Device That Turned Me into a Cyborg Was Born the Same Year I Was” considers Chella Man’s relationship with their cochlear implant and the spectrum of existence between the deaf and hearing worlds. “The Device…” connects to their performance “Autonomy”, explored in the footage above.
