Our lovely girls are getting a baby brother 🥰! Delighted to share our little family is growing, baby boy due in Spring 2024, it’s going to be a busy house! 👩🏻🧔🏻♂️👧🏼🧒🏼👶🏻🐶🐶
Our first proper family photos 🥰 Thank you for your messages, we haven’t disappeared to have the baby quite yet but I wasn’t well last week, which is why we went a bit quiet. Hopefully on the mend now before baby boy’s arrival ☺️. Before that we were lucky enough to squeeze in our first ever family photoshoot, we brought with us nothing but chaos and somehow @kelciejohnlewisportraiture turned that into this magic and we couldn’t be more grateful✨
When I shared recently about Nora starting to crawl at 20 months 🥰 (and not yet walking) I got a lot of messages from mums who have been feeling worried, or isolated, as the majority of what they see on here are other babies reaching certain milestones. It really got me thinking because I shared a lot of ‘firsts’ with Nell without even really realising I was doing it, I would just want to share how cute she was using her fork, or be so excited she’d said mama and was making funny babbling sounds 💕. And please don’t get me wrong, I love LOVE to see those posts, watching parents see their babies do things for the first time and the amazement and joy that brings is something very special, and is such a lovely thing to celebrate 💕. But having a second child on a very different timeframe has reminded me how much easier it is (without even realising you’re doing it) to fill a square, or story, with something that someone is doing rather than isn’t doing. So I just wanted to share that whilst the nature of social media means you might constantly see babies meeting milestones, you really aren’t alone if they’re not ❤️, and it doesn’t mean there aren’t other mums and dads out there in a similar situation to you. I don’t share so many of those moments with Nora and it’s not because she’s our second child, it is simply because we haven’t shared those moments in real life yet ❤️. She’s very much on her own timeframe for everything, although I’ve only touched on gross motor development on here before. She doesn’t speak – about 8 months ago she said dada for the first time and then overnight she stopped and hasn’t said it since. She has never said mama. Day to day we are still working on her cutlery and practical skills. *Caption continues in the pinned comments*

You guys have already seen that I am working with Recycle Your Electricals to raise awareness that electrical waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK, and the world! So, for International E-Waste Day on October 14th, me and my little partner Nell are decluttering the house from all the old electricals that we have been holding onto! Charging cables, electrical toys, electric toothbrushes, mobile phones, and anything with a plug, battery or cable can be donated or recycled – and it’s so easy to do. Simply bag or box them up, head to @recycleyourelectricals_ website and type your postcode into their recycling locator to find your local drop-off point when you are ready to go!! Join me, Nell, and the millions of other people recycling their old electricals on International E-Waste Day, and help tackle e-waste. @recycleyourelectricals_ #RecycleYourElectricals #ewasteday #AD
Being a busy dad, I am sure you will all agree, the one thing that gets out of control is the number of unused toys that lie around. So I’m teaching little Nell about how important it is to donate or recycle her old electrical toys! Remember – don’t bin these toys, or any other electricals! Apart from being awful for the environment, electricals contain valuable materials that could be turned into useful items like life-saving medical equipment or children’s playgrounds! If your electrical items still work, consider giving them a second life by donating. If they’re beyond repair, recycle responsibly! It’s so easy… simply head to the @recycleyourelectricals_ website, pop your details into their recycling locator, choose what you want to donate or recycle, and you’ll find your nearest drop-off points. Join the millions of people who are already doing their bit to help the planet. @recycleyourelectricals_ #RecycleYourElectricals #ewasteday #AD
Wading through Hogsmill river for a good cause! Water voles are Britain’s fastest declining mammal due to habitat loss and predation by non-native species. Thankfully charity @citizenzoo has a goal of reintroducing 101 water voles into the river with the help of @citroenUK and hundreds of volunteers. Me and @Camillathurlow tried our hands at helping with river planting, removing invasive plants, checking monitoring devices for signs of predators and litter picking. Can’t wait to get Nell and Nora stuck in when they’re bigger too! Thank you @weare8app and @citroenUK for introducing us to Citizen Zoo #AD

@camillathurlow and I met Tina from British Sign Language interpreting app @signliveUK to find out what an everyday shopping interaction is like when you’re deaf. We went down to a @citroenuk retailer to find out what this is like and how brands like Citroën are helping to be more inclusive and accessible by having iPad interpreters ready at the push of a button. And yes, I had time to look around all the cars, obviously! Shout-out to @weare8app for introducing us all! #AD @citroenuk @signliveuk
AD | So, Christmas is around the corner and that means I’m super busy (like everyone else this time of year!) Thankfully @fitbituk_ireland helps to keep me on track, and motivates me to exercise this holiday period. I absolutely love the new Fitbit Charge 6, and think it would make the perfect gift for the person that seems to have everything. This Christmas, the best gift you can give your loved ones is the gift of movement and motivation – the gift of #Fitbit. Nell chose grandad, you’re welcome grandad ❤️ *Some features require a Fitbit mobile app. Battery life varies with use and other factors.
