Jim Lee Instagram – Happy Mother’s Day to my dear wife @joke2far who could at this point host a master class in being a mother.
Easily logged in over 10,000 hours with 9 children at school recitals, rehearsals, plays, science presentations, back to school nights, gymnastics, Girl Scouts, competitive cheer, flag football, soccer, ice skating practice, ballet, dance, hunter jumpers events, gallery shows, birthdays, weddings, comic cons, store signings, and emergency room visits (usually on big national holidays at 11pm at night) and more!
It’s frankly more than a full time job, and one which doesn’t have a clock in, clock out option. Every night, I crash out within 5 minutes of hitting head on pillow but she spends an hour plus, rewinding and replaying the days events with the children, like the Tom Brady of moms, reviewing post game footage to better tackle the next day.
She still finds time to carve out time and space for just her and me and even a personal day just for herself. Not quite as rare as Haley’s comet or a quadrennial February 29th but it’s close! All of which makes it even more daunting to behold (and inspiring!).
So thank you, babe, on being the hero we need and making our family the joy and center of my life. I love you endlessly!
