Jock Zonfrillo Instagram – Four years ago. Restaurant Orana’s last service.
Such a bittersweet night. With past and current staff all working, more past staff and close friends joining for knock off drinks, all there the following days to help pack up Jock’s greatest work.
I ate at the last service with @andyallencooks. Who jumped on the plane that afternoon, after a day of filming, to support Jock. Not only through his last service, but also because he was leaving two of his children and a pregnant wife in another state during covid while he went back to filming.
When Orana closed, Jock lost a sense of direction and purpose, and started a journey of trying to find who he actually was when he was no longer a chef. Orana was so much more than a restaurant, and if you ever walked through those doors you know what I mean. Loz | Posted on 22/Mar/2024 14:52:13
