Welcome to Jesús Serrano, our Chef De Cuisine at #minibar, who has been a member of our @joseandresgroup team since 2012. Jesús started as a pastry cook when he helped open the restaurant Mi Casa in Puerto Rico. “I still remember my TFG orientation day because that was the first time I heard and knew about the recently opened minibar (2012 at the current location) and I was mind blown by everything about that restaurant.” Jesús visited Washington in August 2014 to “stage” at minibar and the rest is history. Once in DC, he started as a pastry cook at the newest restaurant in the company @chinachilcano, and ten months later found himself working at minibar. From 2015 until 2020, Jesús worked at minibar while growing himself within the company, doing events like SOBEWFF and helping to open @littlespain in NY. Jesús transferred to @jaleobyjose to work as a Sous Chef and absorb all the basics that brought José to where he is today. He learned about management, leadership and the business side of restaurants. In 2021, Jesús joined the Research & Development Team until he recently rejoined the minibar Team again as Chef De Cuisine now.
