If you’re not totally in love with what you’re doing, you’re screwed. You have to make the assumption that the person you’re competing with really loves what they do and is willing to work 25 hours a day. I tell entrepreneurs, don’t start something you don’t have a lot of passion for! I see it happen all the time, entrepreneurs start something for the wrong reasons and they just get bored. Running a business is really hard work, but it’s an added bonus when you get up every morning saying I’m EXCITED to fight the fight. You better love it baby, because you can bet your competitor is!

Listen, don’t get me wrong here, I’m a huge advocate for education, just don’t let the buck stop there. Regardless of what degrees you have under your belt, you still have to EXECUTE what you’ve learned in order to be successful. Your ability to execute is what I’m looking at. People can smell BS a mile away. You can’t use partisan issues that you don’t really believe in to sell people stuff. It won’t work, and it’s not good business. People may not like your message, but if you lie to them, you’re going to be cancelled in two seconds, so you’ve got to be transparent. When you make a large group of your customers angry enough to stop buying your product, you have killed your business. You have lost the game, and you’ve failed.

Border security and immigration policy will no doubt be a top 3 election issue. These states don’t have the infrastructure to support all these people. We need to figure out how to solve for the existing problems in this country FIRST! The election is months away and this only adds fuel to the fire.

We need POLICY information! Let’s focus on what matters and have a debate around immigration, taxes, energy, etc. That’s what the country is longing for. Whether it’s independent voters or bipartisan investors like me, we need POLICY information to make decisions on who to vote for and where to allocate capital.
