Phil Collins Instagram – This week in 1999, Phil Collins released the soundtrack to Disney’s “Tarzan”.
Written and composed by Phil, the soundtrack features vocal contributions from NSYNC, Rosie O’Donnell and Glenn Close, alongside an original score by Mark Mancina. It was also notably the first Disney soundtrack to be recorded in different languages, with Phil recording the album in French, German, Italian and Spanish!
The album was a worldwide success, selling over 2 million certified copies in the U.S. alone and received the Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Album.
