Weekend dir Andrew Haigh Film critics from @hollywoodreporter have put Weekend in its top 50 films of the 21st century. Just reflecting on this special experience. My first proper acting job. Even when we were filming it and didn’t expect anyone to see it, I knew how lucky I was but I didn’t expect it to change my life in the way that it has. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to its success by supporting our little film. And thank you to all the thousands of people over the last 10 years who have sent me messages. I’m so moved that the film has helped and touched so many of you. That’s all Andrew and his beautiful writing. I just feel lucky to have been a part of it. Written and directed by the master @andrewhaighfilm. I learnt so, so much acting opposite @chrisnewactor. It was shot on a Canon SLR but somehow made beautiful by @ulapontikos. And all made possible by @tristangoligher.

All of Us Strangers with this beautiful man. Cannot wait to have my heart ripped to shreds by Andrew Haigh and his cast. EDIT: I haven’t stopped thinking about this extraordinary film.

Absolutely loved every single one of these brilliant people. This crew worked their asses off and did it having the best time. Haven’t laughed like that for a minute. What a gang. #Insomnia @paramountplusuk Styled by @davidpnolan

Ali on the mountain. This was taken the morning of our second and final day of shooting the Come on Baby music video. Day one we filmed all of the interiors and little bits of around the cottage. It had been a very fast and intense day because we had so much to cover. The crew worked tirelessly to complete the day but it was impossible not to want to work hard because Ali had been so extraordinary. In front of us all, she poured her soul out. Reliving the painful grief that had been buried away. She was fearless, brave and utterly breathtaking. Come the next morning we were all exhausted but none more than Ali. We started the day at 5:30. It was raining. I had tried to find a mountain top location that was close to a road but it still required a long walk through difficult terrain. We had a long day ahead of us, shooting Ali running through forests, rivers and fields but first Ali had to perform the big climax of the video: a dance of grief. But Ali was utterly spent. She had nothing in the tank. I told her we didn’t have to do it, we had enough footage to put something together. But she insisted that we make the video we intended. As the clouds broke over the wild Welsh landscape. Ali took a moment to reset herself. I don’t where she found the strength. She must pulled it from the earth below her. And once again, she poured her heart and soul out in front of us all. It was extraordinary. The bravest performance I have ever witnessed. There is a link in my bio to the music video. Please take a watch to appreciate the bravery of this incredible person @alisonsudol Thank you @llion_gethin for the 📸
